BCCI Refused PCB’s Invitation for Asia Emerging Nations Cup: There is a bad news for cricket lover who loves to watch high voltage
cricket match between India and Pakistan. The Board of Control for
Cricket in India (BCCI) has refused to send its team to the Asia
Emerging Nations Cup in April this year at Pakistan. After the BCCI’s
refusal, there is still a question on Pakistan hosting. There is a
possibility that the Asia Emerging Nations Cup can now be organized in
Sri Lanka or Bangladesh. An official of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)
said that India is not ready to send Indian team to Pakistan for the
tournament at any cost. For this reason, Asia Emerging Cup can be
organized in Sri Lanka or Bangladesh. We are ready to organize this
tournament in April and hope that all the countries will participate in
it.
Decision Will Be Taken In Colombo Meeting
In Dubai, Asian Cricket Council president Najam Sethi said that he
will hold the meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in Colombo
soon. In this meeting, the final decision will be taken on Asia Emerging
Cup and Asia Cup. Najam Sethi is also the president of the Pakistan
Cricket Board along with the Asian Cricket Council. Najam Sethi said
that in the next meeting of ACC, the final decision will be taken
regarding the venues and dates of the Asian Emerging Cup and the Asia
Cup tournament. We will finalize the date of meeting in Colombo soon.
Asia Cup 2018
Asian cricket’s biggest tournament Asia Cup is to be held in
September this year. This tournament is to be held in India this year.
Najam Sethi said that whether Pakistan will take part in Asia Cup or not
depends on the situation. It may be noted that since the terrorist
attack in Mumbai in 2008, India had refused to play any bilateral series
with Pakistan.
ICC Board Meeting In Kolkata
The next ICC meeting will be held in Kolkata next month.
Representatives from all member countries will participate in this
meeting. But chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Najam Sethi, says that
he will take part in the ICC Board meeting in Kolkata only when if the
ICC can make the visa available for him to go to India. I am not
interested in traveling to India. If I get a visa from India, then I
will go there, otherwise the ICC itself should look into the matter.
